A Skyrim plugin that allows you to override shader properties

NetImmerse Override is a free plugin expansion for the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) mod. The Skyrim plugin does not do anything itself, as it is only an expansion to manage object-oriented papyrus scripts in games developed by Bethesda. This mod gives you the ability to override shader properties.

The plugin requires some technical knowledge to understand what changes will have what effect, but it allows users to make graphical changes by changing certain variables in the game. The changes affect how the game’s shaders work, covering everything from how reflective a piece of armor is to how something glows.

Override armor shader properties

Using NetImmersive Override, users can do things like swap the textures at runtime. Users can also stop, start, or modify time controllers and handle runtime emissive color changing.

Persistent modifications

Any changes made using the NetImmersive Override extensions are saved to the SKSE co-save, so they do not need to be reapplied every time the game is reloaded. There are also more advanced features, such as allowing users to override the properties of specific node names.

Being a plugin for a mod, NetImmerse Override is not for inexperienced users. However, it provides a framework for making subtle graphical changes to Skyrim and can be a useful tool for modders for users who know what they are doing.
